Role Overview:

As a Business Analyst at PhonePe, you will work closely with product and business teams to convert real-world business problems into data-driven insights. This is not just about analyzing numbers—it’s about using data to influence business strategies, define critical metrics, and improve performance outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Define and monitor critical metrics for pods, identifying key performance trends and interventions.
• Collaborate with product and business teams to frame analytical problem statements.
• Perform deep-dive analysis and present data-backed insights and hypotheses.
• Act as the SME for analytics and visualization; ensure dashboards are intuitive and accessible for teams.
• Go beyond numbers—bring in your own perspectives, validate using data, and propose business improvements.
• Mentor junior analysts, support onboarding of new members, and contribute to team hiring.

Key Technical Skills:

SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Excel, Data Analysis, R, Python, Statistical Analysis, Big Data Handling, Data Visualization

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of relevant analytics experience.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a passion for uncovering insights.
• Ability to write complex SQL queries and consolidate multiple data sources.
• Proficiency in Excel and BI tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or QlikView.
• Understanding of R, Python, and statistical concepts.
• Experience in ML model building is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong communication skills—ability to explain the “story” behind insights clearly in written and verbal formats.
• Passion for business context and an eagerness to understand how products function.
